John Archibald Wheeler (John Archibald Wheeler)

Born: July 9, 1911 Jacksonville, Florida, United States, Died: April 13, 2008 (aged 96) Hightstown, New Jersey, United States

He was an American theoretical physicist. For most of his career, Wheeler was a professor at Princeton University. He he tried to achieve Einstein's vision of a unified field theory. Wheeler also worked with Niels Bohr in explaining the basic principles behind nuclear fission.
He is also known for popularizing the term black hole, and for coining the terms quantum foam, and wormhole, and the phrase "it from bit."
